Online Casinos Prove American Express Is Still Viable

Monday, August 15th, 2011

While usage of American Express has waned through most online casinos, it is still a viable deposit method. Many online casinos, including some of the major players in the industry, still use this charge card to make funding an account as easy as possible, as the American Express casinos have not disappeared.

With even MasterCard’s acceptance declining through various casinos, players have been seeking a new way to deposit solely by entering a few numbers into the cashier of the casino. American Express has made it possible for players to make credit based payments, all with lower fees, rates and restrictions than standard credit cards. Even though it is somewhat more difficult to receive an American Express card, it is still simple enough to make payments through this method.

The RTG casinos are currently those that primarily use American Express. The cashier through most of the RTG casinos have been optimized to accept instant payments by way of the American Express. The Club World group, which includes Lucky Red, Aladdin’s Gold and Manhattan Slots, as well as Casino Titan, WinPalace and many others. The simplicity of American Express even comes with the ability to collect deposit bonuses, making this one of the more favorable deposit methods to use.

Though American Express cards are somewhat difficult to get in comparison to other credit cards, it is still available for those who can get their hands on one. As with any credit card, we advise that you spend only within your means and pay off your bill in a timely fashion.

MyPayLinq Emerging Through More Online Casinos

Monday, August 8th, 2011

More MyPayLinq casinos have begun to emerge, with various new ways for players to make simple deposits. Despite its inherent simplicity, MyPayLinq has not yet caught on to more than a handful of casinos, but this is a trend that is likely to change.

Currently, only a handful of different casinos have adopted MyPayLinq. These include the Club World Group, with Lucky Red, Aladdin’s Gold, Club World Casino, High Noon and Manhattan Slots Casino all offering MyPayLinq. There is also a few stragglers, most notably a handful of Top Game Casinos and even Bodog.

Being that the Club World Group and Bodog Casino are among the world’s most famous online casinos, it is expected that other gaming company brands will begin to adopt MyPayLinq as a funding method. Top Game’s small foothold on this most important of the casino deposit methods should not be ignored, as it is a testament to the true flexibility of this funding option.

MyPayLinq has begun to grow in popularity primarily because of its overall ease of use. With multiple funding methods built into this service, MyPayLinq effectively combines credit cards, wire transfers and e-checks available through the MyPayLinq service.

With even sportsbooks and poker rooms beginning to contemplate the addition of MyPayLinq, there are plenty of gambling options open to those who wish to use MyPayLinq as a funding option. Sign up is easy enough, there are no failed deposits, and fees are incredibly low.

Prepaid Cards Become More Important As E-wallets Are Lacking

Monday, August 1st, 2011

Many online casinos have ceased accepting deposit methods outside of credit cards, effectively forcing some players to turn to a method of deposit that may have been previously ignored – prepaid cards. The popularity of prepaid cards has risen substantially due to the lack of accepted e-wallets, which has brought many users to prepaid cards in order to circumvent failed deposits.

Prepaid cards cover a variety of individual options, generally based on the fact that there are many types of card. One could visit a handful of stores, including Wal-Marts, Walgreens and even gas stations, in order to find these prepaid cards. Though inherently functional, not all of these cards work for online gambling transactions.

In order to gamble online with prepaid cards casinos, players have to make sure that their particular cards are capable of functioning with international transactions. Most prepaid VISA and MasterCards are capable, but players must ensure that their cards are internationally viable if they are going to be used for gambling purposes. Failure to do so could result in a card that is going to end up being spent on other goods and services that could have been paid for with a bank issued card or cash, which is essentially a waste of fees.

Greendot, NetSpend and WebMoney are several examples of prepaid cards capable of being used internationally. The first is available through Wal-Mart and many other stores, while the latter two are generally purchased online. Each card has it’s own terms, conditions and fees, but all function just like a standard credit card.

Since prepaid cards function in the same way that credit cards function, players only need to enter the numbers on the front of the card. Payments are generally made instantly, these cards carry generally low fees, and security is guaranteed due to the inherent anonymity of prepaid cards on whole

MoneyLineWallet Continuing To Gain Acceptance With Online Casinos

Monday, July 25th, 2011

July 25th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

While MoneyLineWallet is still a relatively new deposit method, which means that not many casinos have yet to start using this service. Though few casinos have begun to use it, the number is rising regularly. Having come to monitor this service extensively, we have found that it is being inducted as a viable deposit method with many online casinos.

Few e-wallets exist for American gamblers, and this has made it somewhat difficult for many players to deposit, especially those with a limited number of credit cards. MoneyLineWallet has made funding their service, and subsequently your casino’s account, as easy as possible. This makes them one of the preferred casino deposit methods.

MoneyLineWallet, for those are still unaware, functions by simply allowing players to transfer money from a checking account into the gambling account. Like eWalletXpress before it, MoneyLineWallet is growing into one of the more popular funding methods.

In order to insulate itself from potential problems, MoneyLineWallet has kept their service partially shut off from most players by requiring something of an invitation to join. The invitations are open to anyone, however, by way of the cashier of the gaming site that accepts MoneyLineWallet. A quick sign up process will give immediate access, and this will open up their service to everyone who would wish.

UseMyWallet, eWalletXpress Shut Down, Replaced By MoneyLineWallet, MyPayLinq

Monday, July 4th, 2011

July 4th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

Two of the biggest deposit methods in the online gambling industry have gone the way of the Dodo bird, figuratively speaking. These deposit methods have become the latest victims in the Department of Justice’s attack on the online gambling industry. Both UseMyWallet and eWalletXpress have been forced off the market, and players have had to deal with the unintended consequences of this move by the government.

In the early months of 2011, players had found that eWalletXpress was no longer available through the cashier of many gambling sites. Players had been left to wonder until news had broke that eWalletXpress was “temporarily halting operations.” It was later determined that the company had ceased accepting American gamblers due to the Department of Justice beginning to seize their bank accounts. Though fear had spread through the community, eWalletXpress assured their users that they would soon be paid back any money that was owed to them.

UseMyWallet had only begun to shut their doors when it came to the “Black Friday” of online poker. The hammer had fallen on the poker industry, and UseMyWallet/Quicktender account holders had been given an e-mail stating that operations of this service would soon cease. Those who use this service had been warned that their accounts would soon be frozen, and that payouts were currently locked. Sadly, most players were incapable of actually processing any transactions out of their Quicktender/UseMyWallet account. In some cases, tens of thousands of dollars had been lost due “further developments.” Users are still waiting for confirmation over whether or not they would receive their money, but things are not looking positive right now.

Despite these deposit methods being shut down, there are still two casino deposit methods that have been brought to light. These deposit methods are MoneyLineWallet and MyPayLinq. Both have similarities and differences to the deposit methods that have ceased operating, but they are unique in their own regards. The services are not likely to suffer from any of the complications that have fallen on the aforementioned deposit methods, making them safe and viable alternatives to funding your account solely with a credit card.

MoneyLineWallet is an invitation only deposit method, just as UseMyWallet once was. Instead of having to meet certain requirements and request an invitation from the gambling site, you will instead have to visit the cashier of the gaming site that accepts this method and you will find a link to the sign up page of MoneyLineWallet. Enter the required information and you will be invited to begin using this method as your own.

MyPayLinq is more like eWalletXpress than any of the other e-wallets out there. MyPayLinq allows their users to make payments through a variety of funding options, including e-checks, wire transfers, and credit cards. This multi-purpose deposit method is being regarded as one of the best that has ever been found in the gambling site, making it a top recommendation for all users.

With these two new deposit methods, the loss of UseMyWallet and eWalletXpress has been absorbed without too much trouble. While some players have lost their money and their deposit methods, others had been widely unaffected by the closure of these deposit methods. Their replacements have already been found, and it seems that there is no trouble using either of these new methods to make easy deposits into online casinos.

Electronic Bingo Issue Soon Over In Alabama

Monday, February 28th, 2011

February 28th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

Attorney General Luther Strange has come to an agreement with the three major gaming equipment manufacturers in the state to remove their machines from Alabama. This, Strange is hoping, is the beginning of the end of the long, strange trip that has mired the gambling industry in Alabama.

The bingo gambling machines in Alabama had gone sour years ago, and the problems had amplified due to former governor Bob Riley’s task force on illegal gambling. The task force had gone around the state shutting down the non-tribal bingo halls and attempting to confiscate the bingo gambling machines. While bingo is technically legal in the state, the governor attested that the bingo machines too closely resemble slot games.

“I hope this is the beginning of the end,” stated Strange according to Al.com. “I don’t know how the casino owners will react, but the fact that their machine manufacturers have left the state leaves them with very little left to work with.”

This measure will allow the manufacturers sufficient time to remove the machines from the state without having to worry about any seizures or complications.

For the most part, the bingo machines in the state were owned by three major manufacturers – International Gaming Technology, Bally Technologies, and Multimedia Games. These companies leased the machines to the casinos. The Attorney General has signed agreements with these companies that would remove the machines from the casinos.

The Alabama gambling issue may be on its way out, but gambling proponents are hoping to keep the machines running in the state.

Biloxi City Council Signs Off On Margaritaville Casino

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

February 16th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville Casino and Restaurant has recently been given the go-ahead by the Biloxi City Council to begin developing the casino project in the city. The casino is expected to be 60,000 square feet of gaming, restaurants, and event centers.

“We’re happy that they approved the project and are working with us to get it going.,” stated Michael Cavanaugh, the attorney for developers with the project.

The casino will be set up off of 5th street, on the edge of Back Bay. The enormous casino will generate new funds for the state, as well as provide more entertainment for people in the area with a fresh new theme of gaming.

Using Jimmy Buffet as an iconic identifier, the casino is likely to prove fairly popular with locals in the region.

The casino is anticipated to create roughly 700 jobs for the city.

A casino with such a theme is likely to aid the state in the generation of money from gambling. The year of 2010 failed to provide as much or more than 2009′s gambling revenue, as the casinos’ gaming win had dropped 3 percent from 2009 to 2010.

In 2010, the state’s licensed casinos won only $2.39 billion.

Atlantic City Casino Revenue Continues To Fall Through January

Friday, February 11th, 2011

February 11th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

January of 2011 has continued the downward spiral that has gripped the casinos in Atlantic City. The gambling hub’s overall revenue has dropped another 13 percent in January, bringing the oceanside resort’s declining revenue to a period of four years.

The New Jersey Casino Control Commission has reported major declines once again, with slot revenue down collectively through the 11 casinos by a total of 16 percent from a year earlier. The slots revenue collected totaled at almost $165 million through January.

Table games experienced a slightly lower decline. Table game winnings dropped 8.3 percent over January of the previous year, with only $90.5 million in revenue generation being reported by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission.

Atlantic City has been contending with the challenge of gambling expansion in surrounding areas. While the state once enjoyed a near monopoly of gambling in the region, the state has been surrounded by new choices for gamblers to enjoy. Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Maryland, and West Virginia have all expended gambling or begun to be more convenient for those in the respective locations.

Several slots jackpots have also helped to punish Atlantic City’s income, as several multi-million dollar jackpots had been won off of the lower denominations of slots.

In order to help salvage the region’s casinos, legislators have been working at reforming the way the industry is regulated. The possibility of online casinos hosted by the state’s gambling companies has also been considered as a way to generate more revenue.

Pennsylvanian Gamblers Bet $37.4 Million On Slots During First Week of February

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

February 10th, 2011 – by Glen Farmer

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, gamblers wagered a total of $37.4 million on the slot machines at Presque Isle Downs and Casino during the week of January 31st through February 6th.

The casino returned $33.7 million of this money back to the players. This shows that slightly over 90 percent of the money wagered in the casino was won by the players, with roughly 10 percent returning to casino.

The gross revenue, or the casino win, amounted to $2.9 million dollars. Almost $787,000 in promotional free play was spent to adjust the number down to the $2.9 million.

The casino gave a total of $1.3 million to the state in taxes, while the casino kept approximately $1.6 million as their own.

This figure is slightly down from the same time frame in the previous year. During February 1st through February 7th of 2010, gamblers wagered $39.4 million Players won $35.9 million during this time period.

Pennsylvania’s casino gambling industry has regularly been on the rise, with the generation of revenue consistent or increasing through these casinos. Atlantic City has been stuck with heavily reduced revenue due to the fact that Pennsylvania’s casinos have proving so successful.
