New Technology Adds Bad Beat Jackpot To Blackjack In Live Casinos

Several land based casinos in California are set to receive a new form of technology that would bring a bad beat jackpot to the game of blackjack. Introduced by DEQ Systems Corporation, the Bad Beat Blackjack Progressive game will add a new level of excitement to the game in casinos.

DEQ Systems Corporation, the leader in table game bonusing, jackpot, and loyalty solutions, is set to introduce 11 games at the Barona Resort and Casino in California. A two month trial will take place in order to determine the success of the device.

In the Bad Beat Blackjack Progressive game, players will place a side bet. In the event that the player loses to a 21 with a draw of 20, the side bet will be won. The more cards the dealer draws to beat the player’s 20, the higher the jackpot will pay.

A seven card 21 pays the progressive jackpot.

“This is the first blackjack progressive side bet that turns the concept of insurance into a very opportunistic wager for the player,” began Max Rubin of DEQ Systems Corp. “The Bad Beat Blackjack bet takes the most agonizing part of blackjack and turns it into a winning situation for a player.”

One player has already won more than $50,000 for the “bad” hand in the event.

The company had introduced the successful EZ Baccarat system, which simplified the game of blackjack for players. DEQ’s products have helped bridge the gap between online casinos and land based gaming.
