The Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway is, according to International Speedway Corp., “well under way on schedule and on budget.”
The first phase of the Hollywood Casino, which will cost a projected $396 million, includes an enormous 82,000 square foot casino, with 2,000 slot machines and 52 table games. A sports bar, dining and entertainment options have all been included in the plan. Finally, a 1,253 space parking is also being built into the upcoming casino.
The casino is being developed by a joint venture between Penn National Gaming Inc. and ISC. Each partner is contributing equity to the project. The casino at the track is well on its way to establishment.
Bringing a casino to the Kansas Speedway will give race enthusiasts another form of entertainment. The rising popularity of the Speedway has brought enthusiasts not one, but two Sprint Cup events rather than just one.
Gambling expansion has spread around almost the entire nation, with many smaller markets increasing in popularity. Pennsylvania has shown the industry exactly what a smaller market can handle.
