Casino Robbers To Face More Charges

November 2nd, 2010 – by Glen Farmer

Last month, three criminals were arrested for their involvement in the robbing of many people outside of a casino in Indiana. These three now face more charges for their actions.

Uhbe Ojile, Amy Hoover, and Kenyatta Erkins were all arrested for their crimes, each charged with multiple counts of aggravated robbery. More than 20 victims had been robbed.

The thieves were busted after an undercover operating had proven successful. In the operation, an undercover operative had acted as a gambler and attempted to become a victim of the robbery.

When the trio attempted to rob the undercover agent, police swarmed the area and took them into custody.

New charges have been filed due to the sheer number of people who had been robbed by the trio.

As many as 26 people were victimized by the pair, and others are asked to step forward in the event that they too had been robbed by the group.

Casino robberies, while not entirely uncommon, rarely end in violence. Unfortunately, many of the crimes go unsolved.

Online casinos have, due to the nature and location of the gamble, proven to be much safer than actually traveling to a casino. When the fact that all money is electronically held with these casinos, there is no way that a thief can steal the funds.
