Nevada is the only state in which full blown sports gambling can legally occur in a land based enterprise, and the Super Bowl is the largest event for wagering in the United States. This combination speaks good news for Las Vegas casinos, which receive an enormous influx of players with the big game’s betting lines offering players a chance to partake in the festivities.

Hundreds of thousands of bettors wager on the Super Bowl every year. In 2010, approximately 270,000 people visited Las Vegas in order to wage on the Super Bowl. The figures in 2011 are likely to be higher due to economic recovery that has been affecting much of the nation.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board is estimating that nearly $82.7 million dollars will be wagered on the Super Bowl this year alone. With the ailing economy in Nevada, gamblers are likely to increase the over all well being of the gambling industry in the state.

In addition to gamblers visiting the casinos and wagering on the Super Bowl, non-gaming spending is also to be high. Between food and beverage and hotel stays, The economy in Nevada is likely to experience a boom in revenue.
